The Dayton-Kettering Connector is Going to be a Hit

Yesterday evening, I took my kids along the entire stretch of this recreation/bike/multi-use trail between Irving and Shroyer Rd (and back).  Despite a heat index of 100 degrees and signs saying the path is closed, I encountered several bicyclists and several walkers.

This path is really, really cool.  Although it is in the middle of an urban area, the path feels like another world--natural, secluded, peaceful.  I don't know how much landscaping and grading is yet to occur, but that hands-off approach actually adds to enjoyment.

The Dayton-Kettering Connector is a true asset to not only the neighborhood, but the city and region.
