In the News: Wilmington/Irving Strip Mall

Recent articles in the Dayton Business Journal and the Dayton Daily News have discussed that Hospice of Dayton purchased the strip mall (currently housing Radio Shack, Chicago Gyros, the Smoke Shop, and the former Thacker’s Donut space).

While it is nice to have commercial space nearby, I understand this defensive move by Hospice.  The strip mall negatively impacts the main entrance.  Clearly, a Smoke Shop is a lousy gateway to a Hospice.  So, I trust that Hospice will remove the strip mall, which clearly has suffered from deferred maintenance, and replace it with an enhanced gateway in the future.
